Search of the Sea Bunny

After a long few days without any adventure and no internet to boot, I felt swimming was needed. I used the ever fun search button and found a few places to swim. One caught my eye as it said there was more to do than just swim. So I checked it out, and they were right, Aquafrolic is definatly a fun spot to swim and more. ( The more is a bit of shopping, and every so often they have an event out there.)

They have a freebie snorkel that lets you explore the deep without feeling like a noob who wandered into the water. In otherwords a more realistic experince. So I picked one up and wandered around under the sea.

First off the dock area, I found a shark and was a little shaken, then I realized he was swimming in circles, and I quit worrying about that silly shark.


Then I found some pretty schools of fish swimming around and sat watching them for a bit.


After that something structural caught my eye and I headed that direction. There was a sunken ship. Not much left, but an obstacle course to swim through non the less. ^-^




So I spent the early evening swimming around in the depths of the water around the beaches of aquafrolic and I hope you'll visit as well.

Alrighty, so how about that weather we've been having?

Well, the last time I blogged, I said I'd be back on the next day. As you can see that didn't happen. I went to log on the next morning and couldn't get a signal worth a flip. Then I couldn't get a signal at all. Muttering and sputtering I called my cable provider, yep outages in my area. No luck until Thursday they said. ( This thursday as in tmmw) But lucky for me, I wasn't the only one complaining apparently, as yesterday they were all over our area. So hip hip hooray, I have service back. And what do I find this morning, yep, SL is down, upgrade day, lol.


So as soon as I can get back in, Ill go exploring.

Mmm eye issues. Gotta love them

Sorry about the lack of an actual adventure today *rubs her sore eye* I somehow hurt my eye today, and was unable to visit sl. *Winks and then winces* but I will be back on tmmw and will post in the afternoon ^-^ Take care all.

Not a bad idea to follow this Siren's call

Since I felt like swimming, I decided I'd look for somewhere else than my pond. I found that there are plenty of great places to swim, but one in particular caught my eye. Innisfree is a quiet place to take that someone you love or even just like ^-~

Its full of romantic spots to sit with your honey bunch and just look at the view. The waterways around the area are great for a quick dip, and there are plenty of spots to just relax at the waters edge. If swimming upstream isn't your fav, there is a pool with plenty of rafts and pool toys to splash in.


I enjoyed sitting on the bridge by the waterfall and just imagining the romance that could blossom here. There are picnic blankets, swings and lots of great snuggling spots.

There's even a roman bath, if you feel like soaking while you watch the sun set.


Personally, I think I'll just keep this one in my romance file as a great place to spend Valentines day at.

Houston..we have a neko in space.....

Well I headed into space and caused some trouble. I think I may have rearranged a star pattern, Just kidding ^-^

I got to take a shuttle into space at the International Space Museum and I loved it.

I really did have fun exploring the depths of space. I've never really been all that interested in it all, but it was fun to see all the shuttles and planets. ( or non planets- they do have Pluto ^-^) You can travel from planet to planet in space or stay feet firmly on the ground and have a good time either way. Though I have to say, the view from the platforms did leave me breathless for a min.

On the ground you can see what its like to sit in the cockpit of a shuttle ( actually they have a few different ones so you can see what the differnt types of shuttles are like. You can also watch live NASA tv.

Oh yes, and if you happen to be afraid of heights like I am, the platforms have invisable rails along the sides, so don't be afraid to get close to the edge, I just don't recommend trying to sit on any of the planets, they are not on the cant fall from list. ^-~ ( I didn't fall from one, I just know they are not on thier own little platforms nor do they have gaurdrails. Though If you do fall, no worries, youll just land somwhere on the grounds of the area.)

So take in some space and I'll catch you on the far side of the moon ^-^

Shipwrecked!

Well, as promised, here are some photos from my journey across Numbakulla and the Pot Healers adventure. I am not going to tell you how to solve the mystery, nor will I tell you much about the story, all I will tell you is that it is a beautiful sim, and it is well worth the visit. Belive me, it will take alot of time to learn it all, but don't fret, you can come back at any time, if you want to keep up with your travel, they provide a game notebook you can carry. It logs your progress and keeps up with the items you find. It has taken me days ( with my limited time recently) to travel the half I have explored, and I hope you will take the time to sample the bueaty of this sim ^-^

Elvis lives on

Yes he does, on a plot in SL.

In rememberance of the Kings birthday, I visited GracelandSL estate ( and dad gum it, not a single slurl to be found for the spot today.Gah). Not an exact reproduction of the ever so georgous Graceland Estate, but a very nicely done remodel. ( In otherwords, there are enough subtle differences that it can't be called infringment ^-^) If you've never been to Graceland, I suggest you visit it here in SL.

Next door to the actual home, is a store where you can pick up a pack of T-shirts all with Elvis memorabilia, or even grab yourself an Elvis avatar complete with one of the very nicely put together jumpsuits.

When you enter the estate, you are greeted by the many gold records on the wall. To your right is the front room containing a very nice piano that you can sit and play. Once you enter the room you can see the stained glass window panes that grace the entry into the sitting room where there is a nice fireplace and you can just imagine the Presley family sitting to open gifts on Christmas morn.


Return to the foyer and directly across from the other rooms are both the Jungle Room and the famed room with three TV's ( Elvis had all three on at once so he could watch all the channels.) His symbol for Taking Care of Business {the lightning bolt and cloud} grace the walls.



After that you can go upstairs ( something you are unable to do in rl, as this area was always private to Elvis and company was not allowed up there. In SL the proprieter has placed a few bedrooms upstairs, although I can not tell you how they looked. For the Kings birthday, he has created a club atmosphere upstairs. It was a mix of new with a feel of the one concert that Elvis did on a black stage in a crowded room. As I was early, I snapped some shots before the party. ( I chose to wear a poodle skirt and my bunny avatar. As a memeber of GracelandSL's group, I also proudly wore my Graceland Groupie tag.)


Elvis fan or not, this is a fun spot to visit and please do support the estate with a tip, this guy is doing this all out of his love for Elvis.

* Oh yes, I did manage to start my tour of the island I am shipwrecked on, and though I still have not solved the puzzle and found my way off the island in safety, I will be sharing the 1st half of my quest as soon as I get the pics edited ^-~
