Bleh, headaches...

Well I know I said you could find out if I made it off the island today, or yesterday, but that didn't happen. You see the other night, I was leaning back and my chair fell, landing me smack on the back of my skull on the floor. Needless to say, I didn't go exploring, I took an asprin and went to bed.

I plan on going back in game and exploring that area this afternoon, but it depends on my headache. I was already having issues because my glasses perscription needs renewed, but now I have the added bump on the back of my head.^-^.

So as soon as I feel good enough, Ill be right back on track. Bleh what a weekend ^-~

Ok, still having issues with the slurl -_-

I am still unable to find it unfortuantly even after getting the landmark from my inventory. It is on Serinity island, so searching for that should get you there. If it does not get you anwhere romantic, just IM me and Ill send you the landmark I have. @-@ probably just a user error on my part, but bleh, I cannot search anymore. Oh yes, I am Ekio Locataire in game.

A romantic get away.

I was exploring the other day and found a very pretty place to relax with that certian someone. C&C Creations has a beatiful island filled with romantic spots to cuddle or more with the love of your sl life. ( They have a store that sells thier wedding supplies or just lovey dovey gifts to give to the avatar you luv ^-^) The island is a large set of mountians with a valley of love in the middle. Thier are spectacular views from the top peaks and wonderful cozy spots in the depths of the valley.

You can cuddle near a waterfall in a swing or on a rug. Sit by a campfire and give your love eskimo kisses. Personally I liked wandering and seeing all the flowers and trees. Im a little afraid of heights, so the views from the peaks were breathtaking in more than one sense.

I wandered with one of my close friends to do this shoot, but he's a little camera shy. So I took one with a close follower, The ever present Blue pose ball ^-^ ( tribute to another travelers blog, she's such an inspiration) By the way, this shot was taken in a hidden area. ^-~

Half of the island is free to explore, the other half is private, but there is still plenty to explore and enjoy. Ok it seems I am unable to find the land mark or the slurl today. I found this on the money tree list ( I hop from place to place sometimes in my old folder of landmarks, as they tend to change every so often to something new), I promise, I will update this with a landmark or slurl as soon as I can ^-^

As always your friendly shapeshifter is off agian!

Oh No! It looks like Im Shipwrecked! Tune in to see if I make it off the next island ^-^

A Home for Both Worlds

For my adventure yesterday, I visited a rl/sl home builders showplace. When I arrived I was pleased to see designs I liked. Not the ones I had expected, but some very interesting and modern homes. Since you can buy the plans in rl, they are made to that scale instead of the massive room and interesting shapes that you find in most SL homes.

I did not take any pictures as I was unable to contact the architect and make sure it was ok with him for me to publish some. I do hope that you will visit his very pleasant virtual neighborhood.

If you would like to visit, here is the Slurl for Crescendo Design. Take a stroll through some houses that are built with the earth in mind.

Svarga, One build you can't miss

A Friend of mine recently reccomended Svarga as a place to visit, so I took him up on the offer. I was not dissapointed. The island is beautiful on its own and the buildings on it only add to the feel. The whole island revolves around a central tower, but we didn't start there. We started out by hiking up a cobblestone path to an overlook. From there we headed even farther up to the different paths built in the air. As we walked across the path we were on we drew close to the golden dome in the center of the tower. Inside this dome was a table with books on it of the great builds of SL and a few photo albums which were fun to leaf through. After looking at the books we traveled across another path and back down to the ground.

There we found the ruins of an ancient society. As we walked the ruins we found the symbol for the SL community on the walls. I had to change avatars at this point because I was too tall to tour the tunnels. I also felt like changing clothes as my modern attire did not seem fit for touring an ancient civilization. We headed into the tunnels and found an oracle in the center of the tunnels. We spoke with some others who were touring as well and then went into another tunnel, which took us right back out to the plaza above. From there I traveled alone, as my companion had to leave.

I headed down a long path that took me in an arc around that side of the island. When I reached the gate we had entered the island trough, I walked past and down the path leading to the other side of the island. On this half of the island, I found a building that was clearly a more recent, though still historical, build. It was a tudor common house. Inside I found an elven drum set and played with a few others who were touring. Then I headed across the path to the central tower. In the base is a store, that sells a few different buildings you can use as homes as well as a bird feeding system that they use on the island. ( You can pick up bird feed in the plaza of the ruins and feed the birds if you get the chance to see them. I did not see any as I toured, but managed to catch one in a photo I took.)
At the enterance to the tower store, there is an elevator system you can take to a pod in the sky. The ride up is like any other elevator, you sit in a mini pod and take it up into the sky. The place you are going is like no other I have found. The floor has poseballs( hidden, just click to sit and it will place you on one) that lay you flat on your back. You rotate and float on a sea of purple and blue particle spots. You can use mouselook or click your way around the room( using alt) to see the rest of the pod. The top and sides of the pod are of the night sky. You can see little galaxies floating and even catch sight of a comet ( or a shooting star) I could have just laid there for a good while, but there were more people wanting to take a look, so I caught the next mini pod out. This pod takes you back to the ruins into the oracles chamber.

If you don't feel like walking all over the island at first, you can take a guided tour at the teleport hub. Its a little blue pod that takes you for a bird's eye view of the island.

A very Virtual New Years Eve

Laugh if you will, but Yes, I spent my New Years Eve on SL. As parents of two little boys, we didn't have any plans. So stay home it was.

In the spirit of the evening, I doned a cute little New Years shirt set I picked up as a freebie and one of my fav pair of jeans. Along with the shirt and very cute undies, I got a glass of champange, Which of course I donned immediatly. So my partying started out at a very casual bash at a club I frequent. They were throwing cash in the sploader and raffle ball, and just having a good time. So I figured Why not take a chance. Who knows you might just end up 3,000 $L richer. Bah, it figures, I didn't. lol. Usually thier sploader is fairly nice to me, but apparently it knew my motives were not in contest spirit( they wern't having a contest) so it gave me less than I put in. *sigh* Oh well, all in the fun of the holiday.

Later in the evening, the club I work at was having a Best Formals event, so I donned my newest dress( a very pretty teal celtic patterend dress. Non flexi, but very pretty non the less) and headed over. I was late of course, and only managed to get there in time for the voting. Not wanting to change out of the dress, I searched for another formal party. I was in luck, there was a masked ball. So I grabbed a very nicely put together half mask and headed out. There were lots of fab dresses and well put together men all dancing to some soothing classical music. All the while Im still sipping my champange.

After that party ended, I searched for another formal bash, since I still had time before the prepared fireworks show back at the club I work for. I ended up at a club I've never been to before, and it was packed. By the time I needed to leave, I could hardly move for the lag. Finally I managed to get home to change and put my jeans and t-shirt back on. ( Still sipping from my glass by the way, That takes talent, getting dressed while holding a partially full glass of any liquid)

The fireworks had just started when I made it to the beach. It was really nice to sit and watch all the particles fly. Our master of the pyro did a great job mixing colors and styles. There were a few times we had to duck to avoid the wild bottle rocket, but overall it was a great show. Hope you enjoy the view I had as much as I did!
